TERMITES
Some small termites only eat dead plant material and rarely pose a threat to homes or
gardens. But other species are extremely aggressive.
TREES
A weak solution of David Gray Termite Spray (100ml in 5-10 litres of water) should be
tipped around the base of the tree affected. Use a bucket, not a sprayer since it will
take a full 10L of solution to obtain a result. You may need to loosen the soil to help
the chemical penetrate. Wear gloves. Do not use the bucket for household use after this.
Do not use on fruiting plants. Never ever use on bananas or papaya (paw paw).
Read the directions on the label before use.
HOMES
For internal problems with termites call your pest control company without delay!
Externally you can treat the perimeter of buildings by creating a chemical barrier. Use
500ml of David Gray Termite Killer in 5L water. Apply with a watering can to form a
continuous barrier. Read label before using.
ANTS
IN THE GARDEN
Ants on lawns and in gardens can be a nuisance.
Ginger Ants often make nests in lawns and the searing pain from the bite
is a painful experience for children and adults alike.
Control: David Gray Ant Dust, Antex Granules, David Gray Ant Spray.
Green Ants can build up in trees to the point where they become a real
nuisance. Spraying is difficult because the nest repels sprays and you may accidentally
expose yourself to spray dripping back on yourself.
Control: Green ants come to the ground to feed, a spray around base of trunks
with David Grays Ant Spray will break the daily cycle. Cut off those nests you can reach
and drop the rest into a bag. Burn the bag. |
