Plants in the tropics need a genuine high analysis NPK fertiliser to match
growth potential. Tropigro 10-97 is formulated to suit tropical plants. Its a
genuine professional quality fertiliser, used for more than 20 years in Darwin.
DESCRIPTION
A general purpose high analysis NPK Fertiliser with balanced high levels of nitrogen,
phosphorus and potassium. Also contains good levels of sulphur and additional zinc. Both
sulphur and zinc are notably deficient in tropical Australia. Suitable for the whole
garden.
APPLICATION
Produces outstanding results on palms, tropical trees, shrubs, tropical fruits and turf
grasses.

APPLICATION RATES
Water in well after applying.
Trees, Shrubs & Climbers
Use 50 grams (about a handful) for each year of the plants age and apply evenly
around the dripline six times a year. Use quarter rates for native plants. Do not use on
Grevilleas.
Palms
For optimum growth rates, use the above rates but apply at six weekly intervals. Keep
lawn grass well away from palms and mulch with Territory Mulch Chip.
Lawns
Apply 50 grams per square metre 3-4 times a year. Water in well immediately after
application.
Vegetables and Flowers
Incorporate 100 grams per square metre into the soil 10-14 days before transplanting or
sowing seeds. Then apply 50 grams per square metre at fortnightly intervals commencing
three weeks after transplanting or emergence of the seedlings. Application of Tropigro
10-97 to leaf vegetables should be alternated with a nitrogen fertiliser.
Tropical Fruits
For bananas and papaya (paw paw), apply 200 grams per adult plant every six weeks.
Apply in a band around the plant keeping at least 25cm away from the stem. For other
tropical fruit trees, use 200 grams for each year of the trees age and apply evenly
around the dripline in July/August and March/April or later if the tree is in fruit during
those months. Young trees will benefit from an additional application during the wet
season.
Citrus
Use 250 grams for each year of the trees age and spread evenly around the
dripline three times a year.
