The Small Business Association would like to farewell long time President Bob Truman. Bob has been the driving force behind the association and is well known in the business community for his dedication in achieving a fair deal for all small businesses. He will be sorely missed as President but will remain in an advisory capacity.

As from January 2000, Mr Bob Vander Wal will be replacing Mr Truman. Mr vander Wal (Bob) has been the Small Business association's Treasurer for the past 12 years and is more than qualified to fill the position.

Bob has been an accountant for 19 years (10 years as either principal or partner in his own firm).

He now is the general manager of Tropigro - a garden products manufacturer and distributor. He has held this position for the last 12 months.

Bob's qualifications are as follows:

Contractor Accreditation Board.

He is, at present, studying for a Law degree.

On behalf of the Small Business Association, Bob has represented small business on the NT Statehood Convention.

As an accountant, Bob has specialised in small business clients with the main focus not just on how to reduce tax but how to maximise the wealth of the client and increase the profitability of the business. He is ardent in his commitment to continue to have the interests of all small businesses at heart.

These days he is very much focused on expanding Tropigro and was delighted when tropigro won an NT Export award a few weeks ago.
